Cameroonian Non-Profit Extends Call for Scholarships

*LOS ANGELES – CAMSOLA, also known as Cameroon Soccer Los Angeles, has extended its call for applications for its Youth Development Scholarship Awards through November 20, 2011.

Beginning this year, CAMSOLA will annually award two scholarships to Southern California high school students in grades 10-12 who are either nationals of Cameroonians or Cameroonian-Americans, including African-Americans who have traced their ancestry to Cameroon.

The scholarship amount varies but the award can be used to cover living, tuition, entrance examination and admission fees, or other expenses for college bound students.

Eligible students should be between 13 and 18 years of age, in grades 10-12, and nationals of Cameroon or Cameroonian-Americans living in Southern California with at least a C average.

The winners will be announced at CAMSOLA’s Annual Party & Awards on Saturday, December 10, 2011 in Los Angeles.  More info at http://www.camsola.org/annual.
